He was predeceased by: his father Gerald Young (Gary); his father-in-law Danny Metcalf; and his nephew Matthew Laurin. He is survived by: his wife Danelle Metcalf; his children, Landon of Kansas City and Shelbie (Patrick White) of Maize; his grandchildren, Heidi, Rowan, Mother Nancy Young and Newton; his brother Mark Young (Michelle) of Wichita; his mother-in-law Donna Metcalf of Nixa, MO; his sisters-in-law, Angie Laurin (Jeff) of Nixa, MO and Pam Normandin (Ivan) of Damar, KS; and his nieces and nephews, Valleri, Emily, Nicole, Nathan, Jared, Hayley and Tyler.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Newton American Legion or First United Methodist Church, Newton, KS.
