He is survived by: his close friend Fred; his wife Marti Verschelden; his children, Brian Verschelden, Jason Avants and Bonnie Garcia (Ryan); and his siblings, Jim Verschelden (Pat) and Marilyn Church (Edward). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren.
Due to current COVID guidelines, a memorial service will take place next spring.
