Mary Ann Hensley Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Ann Hensley (Newton, Kansas), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 2, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, D. H. Hensley and Mary Elizabeth Hensley (Schidlowsky); her sister Rita Wiebe; her brother-in-law Gus Wiebe; and her niece Betsy Devore (Wiebe).
She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Helen Gough (Dan), Mary Eilerts, David Wiebe (Vicky), Jim Wiebe (Barb), Kathy Casper (Gerald), Don Wiebe (Judy), Carol Saengerhausen (Barry) and Mark Wiebe.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Broadway Colonial Funeral Home (120 E Broadway St, Newton, KS 67114). A rosary was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (106 E 8th St, Newton, KS 67114). A burial was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery (1024 E 1st St, Newton, KS 67114).
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to St. Mary's Alter Society, and may be sent in care of Broadway Colonial Funeral Home.
