He was predeceased by: his parents, James Runnells (Jim) and Joan Runnells (Timmermyer). He is survived by: his wife Alysia (Rosberg) of Newton; his sons, Ryan Runnells (Theresa) of Cheney and Ashly Runnells (Derrick Thomas) of Newton; his siblings, Diana Roberts (Mike), Janice Puttroff, Patti Hardman (Barry), Carol Salsbery (Ed), Rosemary Boger (Darrell) and Jimmy Runnells (Jodi); and his grandchildren, Isabel, Gabriella and Jacob. He is also survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, brother, sisters, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Petersen Family Funeral Home (215 N Main St, Newton, KS 67114). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the First Church of the Nazarene (1000 N Main St, Newton, KS 67114).
Memorial Donations may be made to First Church of the Nazarene or Newton S.E. 14th AA House and left in care of the funeral home.
