Kent Dove Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Kent Dove (Newton, Kansas), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 29, 2024 at the age of 79. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Kent Dove to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard "Dick" Dove and Sarah "Joan" Dove (Kealiher); his friend Terry Moore; and his brother-in-law Gil Ash. He is survived by: his friends, Lanny Lind and Mike Farrell; his wife Joquetta Dove (Kepple); his sister Karen Ash (Dove) of Hutchinson, Kansas; his son Chad Dove; his daughter-in-law Laurie Dove (Patterson) of Valley Center, Kansas; his son Todd Dove; his daughter-in-law Renea Dove (Simon) of Elbing, Kansas; his grandchildren, Mariah Dove of Newton, Kansas, Ashley Oleson (Sam) of Wichita, Kansas, Addison Dove of Wichita, Kansas, Quinn Avendaño (Isaiah) of Valley Center, Kansas, Rowan Dove of Valley Center, Kansas, Colt Dove of Wichita, Kansas and Rayne Dove of Elbing, Kansas; and his great grandchildren, River, Beckham Avendaño, Ezri and Elliotte Dove. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, three sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Petersen Family Funeral Home (215 N Main St, Newton, KS 67114). A memorial service was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Matthews Episcopal Church (2001 Windsor Dr, Newton, KS 67114).
Memorials may be made to Harvey County United Way or St. Matthew's Episcopal Church of Newton.
