He was predeceased by: his siblings, Carmen, Doroteo, Antonio, Raymond, Jose Maximo, Jose Martin, Natalia, Maria Ortencia and Loretta Moreno; and his siblings-in-law, Isabella Gonzalez, Leo Moreno, Rudy Chapa and Richard Domme.

He is survived by: his spouse Elsie Sifuentez Tafolla; his children, Paula M. Sifuentez Tafolla, Socorro L. (Wilabeth) of Newton and Rolando L. (Jennifer) of Newton; and his sisters, Anita Domme, Angelina Chapa and Josefina Victoria. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; three brothers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Kansas Honor Flights in care of Petersen Funeral Home.
