He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Gerhard and Mary Jane Duerksen (Curry); and his brothers, David and Kevin Duerksen. He is survived by: his sister Laurie Duerksen of Hesston; his sister-in-law Kathy Duerksen of Newton; his niece Tabitha Hughes (Ryan); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Kassidy and Kinsey; and his nephew Jacob Duerksen (Taylor Randle).
