He was predeceased by: his parents, Junior Hosford (Dale) and Edna Pruett Hosford. He is survived by: his wife Connie Hosford of Newton; his children, Kandy Elder (Randy) of Newton and John Hosford Jr. (Carrie) of Wichita; his grandchildren, Kayla Hiebert, Jessica Laney, Bailey Hosford, Wyatt Hosford, Gunner Hosford, Logan and Amelia Hosford; his great grandchildren, Emma, Max Hiebert, Maci and Layla Williams; and his siblings, Pamela Hill (Tom) of Lenexa, KS, Kathryn Lee (Ed) of Salina, KS and Mark Hosford (Natalie) of Lawrence, KS. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Broadway Colonial Funeral Home (120 E Broadway St, Newton, KS 67114). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Trinity Heights United Methodist Church (1200 Boyd Ave, Newton, KS 67114).
A memorial has been established with the Newton Rotary Foundation and Good Shepherd Hospice.
