It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Nickel (Newton, Kansas), who passed away on October 21, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerhard Nickel and Alice Nickel (Reimer); and his great grandchild Carlee Schroeder. He is survived by: his spouse Marlis Doell; his daughters, Marcia Zuercher (Bernie), Linda Schroeder (Matt) and Lisa Nickel; his siblings, Liz Miller and Jim Nickel (Leanne); his grandchildren, Tyler Schroeder (Shelby), Tori Young (Brandon), Trent Schroeder, Micaela Zuercher and Garrett Zuercher; and his great grandchildren, Jonathan, Levi, Brayden Schroeder and Becca Young.
A memorial has been established with an Amigo Scholarship for Children's Haven International and also to Newton Bible Church School.
