With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jack Stauffer (Newton, Kansas), born in Ephrata, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 14, 2018 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Aaron O. Stauffer and Leah Stauffer (Sensenig); his stepmother Mary G. Stauffer; and his siblings, Enos, Katie Stauffer, Elizabeth Burkhart, Eva Fox of Pennsylvania and Verna Musser of Florida.
He is survived by: his wife Linda (Schmidt); his children, Ron Stauffer (Kathy) of Overland Park, Sharon Goering of Wichita, Carolyn Stauffer of Newton, Debbie Wedel (Russ) of Hutchinson, Ruth Calbert (Eric) of North Newton and Tim Stauffer (Margaret) of Kansas City; his grandchildren, Mike Goering, Kristin McGuirk (Brian) of Providence, Brett Wedel (Katrina Horner) of Providence, Emily Wedel (Ryker Williams) of Manhattan, Kansas, Tara McCreedy (Tim) of Newton, Jared Calbert (Alyssa) of Wichita, Jamie Holladay of Newton, Regan Stauffer of Overland Park, Abby Stauffer and Chloe Stauffer of Kansas City, Missouri; his great grandchildren, Julianna Coppenbarger, Jenna Coppenbarger, Cody Caraway, Newton McCreedy and Everett McCreedy; his siblings, Lois Thiessen (Harvey) of Hesston, Mary Jane Rutter (Charles) of Lancaster and Alfred Stauffer (Ruth Ann) of Lancaster; and also H. B.. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the church Friday evening between 6:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Habitat for Humanity or Mennonite Central Committee.
