He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell McKedy and Dora McKedy (Dennett); his siblings, Fred, Charles McKedy and Ruby Scrivner; and his grandson Landon.

He is survived by: his wife Donna Lee McMichael; his daughters, Sheila Wagner (Mike) and Sandra Thorns; and his brother Leon McKedy (Sue). He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church in Newton and left in care of Petersen Funeral Home.
