She was predeceased by: her parents, Clem Hammerschmidt and Catherine Hammerschmidt (Stang); her son-in-law James L. Morris; and her siblings, Elmer Hammerschmidt, Mary Schmidt, Tina Riedel, Albina Schmidt, Helen Bresaw, Heubertine Steckline and Dolores Mermis.

She is survived by: her daughters, Charlene Fortner (Ron) of Valley Center and Bernice Morris of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; her grandsons, Daniel Fortner and Matthew Fortner (Tarah); and her great grandchildren, Mae Fortner and Pierce Fortner.
