She was predeceased by: her parents, Manuela Torres (Melendez) and Jesus Torres; her son-in-law Bobby Mitchell; and her siblings, Felix Torres, Carmen Vega, Lupe Llamas and Refugio Torres.
She is survived by: her spouse Angel Monares; her children, David Monares (Jolene) of Wichita, Alfred Monares (Ann) of Newton, Albert Monares of Newton, Richard Monares (Terri) of Newton, Rita Almack (Charles) of Baja, Mexico, Christy Mitchell of Skiatook, Okla, Teresa Monares-White (Mark) of Wichita and Cathy Moyer (Steve) of Newton; and her siblings, Angel Torres of Peabody, Margaret Garcia of Newton and Jennie Garcia of Newton. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
