He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Wallace and Mae Emily McNutt Gillett; his wife Christina M. Warkentien; his brothers, Truman and Claude; and his niece Patricia.
He is survived by: his children, Emily Gillett Sewell (Howard) and Mark W. Gillett (Julia) of Oklahoma City; his grandchildren, Gregory Randall Medders (Cuong Nguyen) of Chicago, Jeffrey Clayton Medders (Dominique Grogan) of Denver, Aanika Jordan Gillett, Matthew Allen Gillett and Lynchburg University (David Wallace Gillett); his nephew Michael Gillett of Longwood; and his friend Joyce Lang. He is also survived by friends and extended family.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials to Kansas Christian Home-Fellowship of John, and First Christian Church, Newton are appreciated.
