He is survived by: his children, Skyler Spear (Billie) of Hutchinson, KS, Joey Spear of Arkansas City, KS, Carmen Lanier of Tennessee and Edward Spear III of Lansing, KS; and his siblings, Mark Anthony, James P. Nelson of Florida, Jonce Burr Nelson of Geneseo, KS and AnnaMarie Tess of Geneseo, KS. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren.
