Edna Curtiss Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Edna Curtiss (Newton, Kansas), born in Harper, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 27, 2024 at the age of 102. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Edna Curtiss to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Sam Schmidt and Alice Schmidt (Shupe); her husband Johnnie C. Curtiss; and her siblings, Mary Schmidt, Ruth Hershberger, Vernon Schmidt and Earl Schmidt.

She is survived by: her children, Doug Curtiss (Linda) of Newton and Becky Heaston (Bill) of Newton, Kansas; her granddaughters, Monica Lester (Chad) and Melissa Deal (Brad); her great grandchildren, Logan, Jenna, Lindsey, Riley (Morgan), Emily and Bradley; her great great grandchild Enzo; and her stepgreat-granddaughters, Quartnie and Chelsy (Tyler). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions can be made out to First United Methodist Church and delivered or mailed to Petersen Family Funeral Home.
