He was predeceased by: his parents, Garrett Ricklefs and Grace Ricklefs (Hartsock); and his siblings, Daniel Ricklefs and Dorcas Hartje. He is survived by: his brother-in-law Leonard Hartje. He is also survived by two nieces and three nephews.
