He was predeceased by: his parents, Beulah Gibson and William "Lee" Gibson; his stepmother Gladys Gibson Reisner; his son Jeff Gibson; and his granddaughter Alyssa Simms.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Gibson of Wichita; his children, Stephanie Gibson Senn (Mike) of Newton and Brian Gibson of Emporia; his stepdaughters, Cynthia Allensworth and Kristen Allensworth Larneng of Wichita; and his grandchildren, Brett, Charlie, Chylynn, Celia, Annika, Jakob and Eirik.
