It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clyde Justus Platt in Newton, Kansas, born in Toronto, Kansas, who passed away on August 6, 2022, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clare A. Platt Sr. and Annetta V. Platt (McCoy); his stepmother Laverne Platt; his brothers, Jerry and Jack Platt (Dorothy Platt); his son-in-law Clinton "Tiger" Wilson; his parents-in-law, Myrtle and Dale Glass; and his brother-in-law Alex Glass.
He is survived by: his children, Tony Platt (Venita) of Wichita Falls, TX, Charlotte Wilson of Seminole, Jodi Runnells (Jim) of Newton, KS and Lori Vandever (Dan Shaffer) of Dallas, TX; his grandchildren, Christy Stargell, Michael Wilson, Tory Runnells, Leslie Smith, Derick Platt and Trey Runnells; his great grandchildren, Jeremy, Kylee Martin, Lacy, Tyler Wilson, Elisha, Jonah Van Hulle, Blake, Jackson Platt, Leona, Anton Runnells, Logan Mills and Adam Smith; his brothers, Clare (Sharon Platt Jr.), Jim Platt, Preston (Nancy Platt) and Phillip Glass; and his sister-in-law Barbara Raner. He is also survived by many nieces & nephews, cousins, and friends.
