With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Charles Cushenbery of Newton, Kansas, born in Chickasha, Oklahoma, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 7, 2024 at the age of 76. Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Charles leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lindle Dean Cushenbery and Helen Evelyn Cushenbery (Moomau); his wife Brenda Joyce Jowers; and his brothers, Jerry and Dennis Cushenbery.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Ronda King of Newton, KS and Troy Irvin (Melodie) of Tuscola, TX; his children, Cameron and Sheridan; and his brothers, Steve Cushenbery of Cherryville, KS and Darrel Cushenbery (Jolene) of Goddard, KS. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
