He is survived by: his parents, Thomas Burns and Wanda Burns; his wife Barbara; his children, Carl Burns Jr. (Lori) of Newton and Bethany Anderson (T. J.) of Augusta; his grandchildren, John Burns, Taylor Burns, Nichole Trail, Elizabeth, Alexis and Jamie Anderson; and his siblings, William of Picayune, Richard of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Bobbie Goins of Sedgwick, Carolyn Waltman and Susanna Fornwalt of Newton.
