He was predeceased by: his parents, Kay Thomas (O'Brien) and Jerry Thomas. He is survived by: his former wife Kandace Silvernale; his children, Justin Kater, Maegan Miles (Ray) of Newton and Michelle Embry (Derek) of Newton; his wife Cathy Kerr; his daughters, Kari Cordell (Cody) of Tulsa, Oklahoma. and Lauren Juarez (Oscar) of Tulsa, Oklahoma.; his grandchildren, Cameron, Timothy, Guthry, Claire, Amya, Nora, Afton, Porter, Elliotte, Maliah, Arlis, Max and Penny; his stepmother Zella Thomas; and his siblings, Tina Fowler, Teresa Driver, Brad Thomas and Jerry Gaede (Gina).
