He was predeceased by: his parents, Adolf Funk and Anna Funk (Enns); his wife Aldine Funk (Pankratz); and his siblings, Loyal, Marvin Funk, Grace Weber and Alice Funk.

He is survived by: his children, Sharon Hudson (Kevin) of Newton, Dwight Funk (Sharon) of Park City, Dale Funk (Kay) of Newton and Terry Funk (Robin) of Newton; and his siblings, Laven Funk of Hillsboro and Viola Schultz of Buhler. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
