She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Townsend and Elizabeth Townsend (Gray); her husband Herbert Tolbert; her children, Patricia Coleman (Tolbert), Raymond Tolbert and Vernon Tolbert; and her grandson Preston Tolbert.
She is survived by: her sons, Herbert Tolbert II (Ted) of Newton, Michael Tolbert of Newton and Les Tolbert of Wichita; her siblings, Teresa Foster of Newton and Galen Townsend of Wichita; and her friend Hilda Cerday. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
