He was predeceased by: his father Edward William Vogts. He is survived by: his mother Kathryn Vogts (Schrag) of Moundridge, KS; his wife Jennifer Vogts of Newton, KS; his daughters, Emily Metcalf (Chris Metcalf) of Wichita, KS, Amber Vogts (Matthew Wilder) of New Orleans, LA and Avery Vogts (Ethan Oltean) of Wichita, KS; his stepchildren, Jamie Hansen (Vanessa Lashinske) of Kansas City, MO, Josh and Jeremy Hansen of Wichita, KS; his siblings, Mark Vogts (Joyce Vogts) of Moundridge, KS and Jenny Loyd (Scot Loyd) of Canton-Galva, KS; his grandsons, Oliver and Jack Metcalf; and also, Jamie, Jeremy and Josh. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial Contributions can be made to Trinity Heights United Methodist Church in Newton, KS or to Newton Recreational Commission and can be left in care of Petersen Family Funeral Home.
