He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Stenzel and Olinda Stenzel (Reinhardt); his wife Irene Musbach; his son Marvin; his daughter-in-law DeeAnn Stenzel (Coy); his brothers, Vernon (Delma) and Dick Stenzel (Joanne); and his siblings-in-law, Allen Musbach (Mina), Frank Miller and Vi Burditt (Earl).
He is survived by: his son Loren (Lynette) of Ness City; his granddaughters, Tasha Wessel (Bob) of Owasso, OK and Jill Schaben (Travis) of Hays; his great grandchildren, Alexis Werner (Cody) of Plainville, Emily Wessel of Baltimore, MD, Raegan Wessel and Kaitlyn Schaben; and his sister-in-law Arlene Miller. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be given to the Veterans Memorial in Ness City or Camp Lakeside (United Methodist Church Camp at Scott County Lake).
