He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Steele and Virginia Steele (Mellen); and his stepson Jason Wilson. He is survived by: his wife Janie Cook; his daughters, Jennifer DeLong (Jason) and Pattie Steele of Neodesha; his grandchildren, Jill, Jackson DeLong and Peysen Steele of Neodesha; and his sister Rita Banta of Neodesha.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the VA Hospital Topeka, KS or Neodesha Public Library.
