He is survived by: his children, Amanda Payton of Natoma, Shawn Payton of Natoma and Alex Payton (Amber) of Natoma; and his siblings, Annette Burt of Gaylord and Michael Payton of Salina.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Rentschler Family Mortuaries Osborne Chapel (238 N 1st St, Osborne, KS 67473). A wake was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Aloysius Gonzaga Catholic Church (219 N Elm St, Osborne, KS 67473).
