He was predeceased by: his parents, James E. Blazer and Goldie Blazer (Pound); his wife Ruby Daldeen Fortner; and his siblings, Robert Blazer, Mary Taylor Nedra Sizemore and Pauline Baldwin.
He is survived by: his children, Kelly Staples of Okeechobee, James Blazer, III (Lois) of Beloit, Kansas, Tammy Hoffman of Cawker City and Jacci Standlee (Rick) of Ellinwood, Kansas; and his siblings, Roger Blazer of Natoma, John Blazer (Charlene) of Oak Grove, Steve Blazer of Oak Grove, Arkansas and Emily Jean Blazer of Natoma.
A memorial has been established with the American Alzheimer's Association.
