He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Teresa Lynne Case Basinger of McMinnville Two; his grandchildren, Andre Maycey, Angela Layman and Anden Layman; and his siblings, Iris "Sissy" Mustopich of Gainesville, FL. and John "Colonel" Basinger of Woodbury Several.
