He is survived by: his wife Elenor; his daughters, LaVeda Carter (Terry), Marlene Fortenberry (Charlie) and Patty Brooks (Wes); his daughter-in-law Earlene Carothers; and his grandchildren, Stacey, Lisa, Ryan, Ashlee and Rachel. He is also survived by 6 sisters and 2 brothers.

In lieu of flowers memorials to St. Andrews Lutheran Church, Wichita or St. John Lutheran Church, Nashville.
