Neva Hermes Obituary

We are sad to announce that on December 2, 2020, at the age of 93, Neva Hermes of Narka, Kansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John W. McChesney and Ella McChesney (Saip); her son Jonny; her husband Don; her grandson Bradley Vest; and her brothers, Chester McChesney (Nellie), Warren McChesney (Mary) and Jim McChesney.

She is survived by: her former husband Warren E. Joy; her daughters, Deb Knox (Pat) of Clyde and Vivian Dirks of Meade, Kansas; her grandchildren, Angie (Jeff Howard), Lisa (Cory DeLong), Shane DeLong, Christopher Knox, Matthew Knox (Kelsey), Tyson Knox (Colleen), Jason Joy (Angie), Jonathan "Jay" Joy (Shanna), Jamie Joy, Jennifer Joy and Jana Clark; her brother Jack McChesney (Eleanor); her sister-in-law Joanne McChesney; and also, Russell James Hermes (Jocelyn) of Ohio, Sharon Joy Wilson (Richard) of Arizona and Maridelle Anne Mehling (John) of New York. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, communities of friends, and many school children.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to Meadowlark Hospice, and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
