He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Goodin and Delphine Brown Goodin; his wife Janice Church Patterson; his brother Robert Goodin; and his daughter Brenda Goodin.
He is survived by: his daughters, A. J. Spedding of Allen Town and Cindy Gaer of Kansas City, Kansas; and his stepchildren, Andy Patterson (Taarna) of Mayetta, Kansas and Diana Shinn (Kevin) of Uniontown, Kansas. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
