He was predeceased by: his wife Teresa Askren; his grandson Timothy Askren; his parents, Robert Askren and Mary Askren (Record); and his siblings, Clyde Askren, Kenneth Askren, Hazel Franklin, Sherman Askren and Harry Askren.
He is survived by: his children, Timothy Askren (Susan) of Derby and Tammy Askren-Carroll (Darwin) of Florien, LA; and his grandchildren, Travis Franklin, Joshua Carroll, Derek Askren, Stephanie Relf, Chad Askren, Scotty Carroll and Emily Hentschel. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
