It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thelma Hein Bergkamp Ast (Mount Hope, Kansas), who passed away on July 2, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Aloysius Hein and Emma Hein (Lies); her husband Walter Bergkamp; her brothers, Fred, Clem, Bob, Justin and Carl; and her son-in-law Raymond Gunn.
She is survived by: her children, Cindy Gunn, Michael Bergkamp (D. D.), Ken Bergkamp (Gail), Julie Hampel (Duane), Lila Kerschen (Martin), John Bergkamp (Julie), Patty Geiger (Gary) and Janell Hogan (Barry); and her sister Marilyn Olden (Joe). She is also survived by 20 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established with St Joseph, Ost Catholic School, and Traditions Health Hospice.
