It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Robert Akred of Mount Hope, Kansas, born in Minneapolis, Kansas, who passed away on March 24, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Akred and Phyllis Akred (Torrey); and his brother Tom. He is survived by: his pet Abby; his wife Leah Weve; his children, Jennifer Gorges (David), Olivia Griffin (Patrick), Randy Akred (Sarah) and Rebecca Wilson (Kevin); his siblings, Joe Akred (Nicki) and Mary Margaret Robertson (Evan); and his aunt LaDonna Basto. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren, many extended family members and friends.

Memorial donations may be made in Robert's name to Greeley Township Cemetery Mt. Hope Beautification and Upkeep Memorial Fund, in care of Mt. Hope city office.
