She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul K. Funk and Katharina Funk (Schmidt); her husband Willard "Bill" Gehring; her son-in-law Jim Goering; and her siblings, Elmer Funk, Hilda Knak and Roy Funk.
She is survived by: her children, Stewart Gehring (Nancy Friesen) of Chicago, IL, Richard Gehring (Barbara Krehbiel Gehring) of Lombard, IL and Ruthie Goering of Valley Center; and her siblings-in-law, Marvin Gehring of Whitewater, Wayne Gehring (Norma) of Halstead, Twilla Stucky of Moundridge and Gloria Gehring of South Hutchinson. She is also survived by six grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
