He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Johnson and Vada Johnson (Schafer); his wife Thelma Nightingale; his son Gabriel Johnson; and his brothers, Don and Charles Johnson.
He is survived by: his children, Gavin Johnson (Donnalee) of Texhoma, TX, Steven Johnson (Jill) of Galva, Beverly Unruh (Dave) of Scott City and Melanie Schmidt (John) of Wellington, CO; and his brother Doyle Johnson of Moundridge. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
