Eugene Unruh Obituary
We bid farewell to Eugene Unruh of Moundridge, Kansas, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 14, 2025 at the age of 92. Eugene touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam P. Unruh and Elvina Unruh (Wedel); his spouse Salome Loewen; his children, Bonita Giesbrecht and Lauren Unruh; his granddaughter SueVaun Allison; and his sister Betty Lou Unruh.
He is survived by: his children, Franklin Unruh (Karen) of Mertztown, PA, Steven Unruh (LeAnn) of Scio, OR, Delbert Unruh (Jennifer) of Hazelton, ID and Jeanette Koehn (Keith) of Fruitland, ID; his children-in-law, Howard Giesbrecht of Willows, CA and Becky Dyck of Livingston, CA; and his siblings, Galen Unruh (Myrna) of Galva, Joane Unruh (Kurtis) of Moundridge, MaeDean Unruh of Moundridge and LaVada Buller (Marlin) of Galva. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren; 72 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Lone Tree Mennonite Church (758 23rd Ave, Galva, KS 67443).
