She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse C. Schmidt and Frances Schmidt (Yost); her sister Arlene Koehn; her son-in-law Brett Nichols; and her grandchildren, Gregory Martin and Christina Martin.
She is survived by: her husband David L. Yost; her daughters, Loretta Jarvis of Salina, KS, Sherri Martin (Sylvan) of Tonasket, WA, Becky Martin (Dani) of Dardanelle, AR and Trish Nichols of Montezuma, KS; her siblings, Elwin Schmidt (Priscilla), Laurel Schmidt (Carolyn), Kenneth Schmidt (Anita), Robert Schmidt (Ardith), David Schmidt (Virginia) and Ruth Toews (Walter); and her siblings-in-law, Rodney Koehn, Darrel Yost (Helen), John Yost (Carol) and Marlene Nightingale (Dennis). She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
