With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Karen Merrick of Mound Valley, Kansas, born in Sayre, Oklahoma, who passed away on October 29, 2023 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Alspaugh and Leta Irene Alspaugh (Sides); and her brothers, Daniel Alspaugh and James Alspaugh. She is survived by: her children, Sean Merrick (Shelley) of Mound Valley and Paula Closs (Arthur) of Mound Valley; her grandchildren, Caitlin Closs (Garrett Steed), Mickenzie Evans (Hailee), Brayden Merrick, Peyton Merrick and Lacey Merrick; her great grandchildren, Kenzie Evans and Landry Evans; and her brother Arlie Alspaugh. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and long-time friends.
