He was predeceased by: his parents, John Slater and Helen Slater (Schroeder); his sister Carol Steinfeldt; and his great grandchild Kyle Pospichal. He is survived by: his wife Alberta "Bertie" Mooren; his children, Russ Slater (Susan) and Jona L'Ecuyer (Joe) of Morrowville; his brother Mike Slater (Janice) of Powell, NE; his grandchildren, Ashley Pospichal (Kenny), Britni Kramer (Bradley), Samantha Kier (Logan) and Andrea Walter (Martin); and his great grandchildren, Rien Rospichal, Coy Rospichal, Eric Pospichal, Ty Pospichal and Braxton Kier.
