He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur E. Ludlum and Margaret Ludlum (Laver); his siblings, Shirley Schultz, Edward and Alfred Ludlum; and his grandson Benjamin Duty.

He is survived by: his wife Linda Ludlum; his daughter Laura Duty of Ottawa, Kansas; his grandchildren, Bethany Duty and Blake Duty of Independence, Missouri; his siblings, Delores Goyett of Emporia, Kansas and Gary Ludlum of Moran, Kansas; and his brother-in-law Marvin Schultz of Murfreesboro, Tennessee..

Memorial contributions may be made to Colony Community Church or Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation and left in care of the funeral home.
