In the sacred silence of farewell, Willis Ray is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Willis Ray's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Wadel and Anna Wadel (Schmidt). He is survived by: his siblings, Jim (Sharon) of Bonners Ferry, Idaho and Carol (Clayton Wedel); and his sisters-in-law, Bonnie Wadel of Montezuma and Judy Wadel of Montezuma. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Bethel Home (300 S Aztec St, Montezuma, KS 67867). A funeral service was held on Sunday, December 8th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Emmanuel Mennonite Church (7492 500 Rd, Fredonia, KS 66736). A burial was held on Sunday, December 8th 2024 at 11:45 AM at the Cheatum Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to Bethel Home in care of the funeral home.
