He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Lewallen and Verda Lewallen (Post); and his siblings, Wilma Bennett, Ellen Groves, Ronald Lewallen, Harold Lewallen, Alta Groves, Howard Lewallen, Patsy Larken, Alice Foxworth and Leonard Lewallen.
He is survived by: his wife Liz of Montezuma; his children, Jennifer Schmidt (Brian) of Pratt, Jeff Lewallen (Tara) of Sioux Falls and Stacy Dirks (Bryce) of Montezuma; his grandchildren, Byron Schmidt (Stacey) of Ingalls, Luke Schmidt (Ashley) of Collinsville, Katie Edwards (Keith) of Harrah, Zachary Lewallen (Maycee) of Parker, Stephanie Cogley (Ryan) of Sioux Falls, Alexa Goodroad (Joe) of Sioux Falls, Tanner Dirks (Hannah) of Montezuma, Colton Dirks (Ashten) of Montezuma and Madison Miller (Jackson) of Montezuma; and his great grandchildren, Brody, Raelyn Schmidt, Aubrey, Lexie Schmidt, Ember Ewards, Wesley Tonjes, Lane Cogley, Haddie Goodroad, Kipton, Emma, Baker Dirks, Jameson Dirks and Wrenley Miller.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Swaim Funeral Chapel of Montezuma (506 W Cortez St, Montezuma, KS 67867). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Montezuma United Methodist Church (100 N Escalante St, Montezuma, KS 67867).
Memorials are suggested to the Montezuma United Methodist Church or Bethel Home in care of the funeral home.
