With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sam Schmidt (Montezuma, Kansas), who passed away on February 4, 2020 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his grandfather Sam Schmidt; his parents, Urias Schmidt and Susie Schmidt (Koehn); his wife Lavaunda Schmidt; his children, Delilah Wilson of Atmore, Alabama, Mary (Evan Koehn), Maynard (Karen Schmidt), Galen (Rosalie Schmidt) and Chester Schmidt of Fairhope, Alabama; and his daughter-in-law Susan Schmidt Stiles. He was also cherished by twenty-four grandchildren; fifty-one great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; two sisters.
