He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Dirks and Sadie Dirks (Smith). He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou of Montezuma, Kansas; his children, Melody (Arlo Nightingale) of Hollandale, Elston (Jan) of Butler, Marilee (Roger Yost) of Montezuma, Monica (Lawrence Shetler) of Perrysville and Monroe of Butler, Missouri; his sister Gloria Koehn of Moundridge, Kansas; and his sisters-in-law, Carrol Dirks of Rich Hill, Missouri, Donna Dirks of Rich Hill, Missouri and Violet Wedel of Tampa, Kansas. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; twenty two great grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to Gospel Tract and Bible Society (GTBS) in care of the funeral home.
