He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Albert and Zoa Hedlund (McReynolds); his brothers, Chris and Kyle Hedlund; his sister-in-law Janie Hedlund of Manhattan; his father-in-law Will Rempel; and his great-niece Zoie Beth Gates.
He is survived by: his wife Nola Rempel; his sons, Levi Hedlund (Megan) of Copeland, Logan Hedlund (Kelsey) of Montezuma and Lane Hedlund (Lexi) of Kansas City, Missouri; his grandchildren, Luke, Calvin, Leah and Jack Derksen; his brother Ty Hedlund of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; his cousin Gayle Fry (Andee) of Montezuma; his mother-in-law Alta Rempel of Meade; and his siblings-in-law, Steve Rempel (Sandy) of Lenexa, Donna Roulhac of Hesston and DeAnn Rempel of Ashland. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested to the Montezuma United Methodist Church, Meade District Hospital, or the South Gray Reading Literacy Program in care of the funeral home.
