He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Toews and Anna Toews (Wiens); his wife Delilah; his son Gerald Toews; and his siblings, Marie Wedel, Martha Goossen, Ruth Schmidt, Elizabeth Toews, Susie Toews and Clara Epson.
He is survived by: his children, Sheryl Schmidt (Jerald) of Montezuma, Rodney Toews (Glenda) of Montezuma, James Toews (Carolyn) of Montezuma and Lyndon Toews (Loretta) of Montezuma; his daughter-in-law Diane Toews of Cimarron; and his siblings, Nettie Goossen, Esther Penner, Frances Penner and Walter Toews. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
