He was predeceased by: his parents, Doris D. Rooney and George Bernard Rooney, Jr.; his son Patrick Timothy Rooney; his brother George Bernard Rooney III; and his nephew George B. Rooney IV.
He is survived by: his sons, Michael N. Rooney (Catherine Arroyo Rooney) of Dodge City, KS, H. Davis Rooney (Marijo Teare Rooney) of Hays, KS and Fredric T. Rooney of Las Cruces, NM; and his daughter-in-law Brenna Lloyd Rooney of Valley Falls, KS. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and one great-grandson.
